This Sunday, during the 7th round of the Coupe de France, Bordeaux qualified by winning at Bressuire (2-0), while AS Dragon produced the big surprise of the day by taking out Avranches (2- 2, 4-3 tab).
Administratively relegated to National 2 a few months ago (the club is currently 5th in its group after nine days), Bordeaux will continue its adventure in the Coupe de France. Indeed, this Sunday, the Girondins won on the Bressuire pitch (2-0). Against the R1 club, midfielder N’Famady Diaby quickly opened the scoring (11th), following a pass from Issam Ben Khemis. In the second half, it was Safouane Karim who made the break in favor of FCGB (74th), on a good cross from Soufiane Bahassa. Bruno Irles’ team continues its good series, having not lost since September 7 (2-1 against Dinan Léhon). Since then, Bordeaux has been collecting points in N2 and has therefore managed to secure its ticket for the 8th round of the Coupe de France. In the next round, which will take place on the last weekend of November, the Girondins will now challenge Les Herbiers VF, also an N2 club.
The AS Dragon, the other nice surprise of this 7th round
After the qualification of the Diables Noirs (R1 Mayotte), another overseas team created a sensation during this 7th round of the Coupe de France. Indeed, at the Pater Te Hono Nui stadium in Pirae, AS Dragon eliminated Avranches (2-2, 4-3 tab). Playing in R1 in Tahiti, the Papeete club managed to come out on penalties, while USAMSM came back from 0-2 to 2-2 in the second half, thanks to Jessy Pi and Noa Mupemba. In the next round, the Polynesians will travel to Normandy to face SU Dives-Cabourg (N3). In the other notable results of the day, we will also note the victory of RC Calais on the Ulis pitch (3-1), thanks in particular to the former Guingamp and Lyon player Claudio Beauvue, or the great success of Martigues (L2 ) against Football Club Allobroges Asafia (5-0), in Grenoble.
