SAINT-ELZÉAR. During an open day of Coup de Pouce – Manufacturing Subcontracting, held last Thursday, October 10 on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the hundred partners and employees present were able to see the new directions of the Elzéar company .
It all started with Hélène Picard, founder of Coup de Pouce, who officially announced her departure.
“It’s a whole project that I had in mind 20 years ago! I have an unwavering belief in human potential and the company was originally founded to create solutions to a diversity of needs. […] I chose an untrodden path. Doing business differently is at the heart of our history. We had to juggle between the commercial world and the social world. We don’t know what is possible or not, so let’s act as if anything is possible! “, she said.
It should be remembered that approximately half of the sixty employees live with functional limitations and specific challenges. Through a professional development program, workers are able to build different skills that are very useful to the company. However, this social mission will be respected as a legacy from Ms. Picard.
“When I visited Coup de Pouce, I fell in love with it,” declared Nancy Asselin, general manager, who has taken over the company for the last five years.
Change perception
Here, Ms. Asselin announced that from now on, the company will be called Productiv – Manufacturing Production.
“I wanted to put it in my image. I wanted people to understand that we are able to carry out projects, even if they are complex, and that it is not because we hire people who have functional limitations that our products are of poor quality. We have very rigorous quality controls. We need to change people’s perceptions. We have employees who have expertise. There is no limit. […] All complex tasks can be dissected. We want people to trust us, because to try it is to adopt it! », she smiles, emphasizing the very committed nature of her team.
Looking ahead, Nancy Asselin is convinced that Productiv will continue its evolution and growth. “We have some great projects coming up! »
