COUNTY RECORDER GOES FOR NEW OPPORTUNITY

wording

YUMA, Arizona

After nearly 14 years as Yuma County Recorder, Robyn Stallworth Pouquette would resign from the elected office this Friday to seek a new opportunity in Yuma County.

Pouquette was first elected County Recorder in 2008 and has since made notable strides in voter registration and election administration in Yuma County, including integrating the two offices under her leadership in 2018.

She has been an advocate for Yuma County voters, the security and integrity of elections, and process improvements. Stallworth Pouquette has served multiple terms as President on the Arizona Association of Registrars and on the Arizona Association of Counties Executive Committee from 2015 to 2020. He is a graduate of the County Leadership Institute through the National Association of Counties and is a 2020 Flinn-Brown Fellow.

“It has been a true honor to work in public service for more than 25 years and I look forward to the opportunity to continue to make a positive contribution to county government,” said Pouquette. “I appreciate the years that the community has entrusted me with this duty and I am extremely grateful to each staff member and for the support of the Board of Supervisors, as well as my colleagues throughout the State of Arizona and across the country.”

Yuma County has not yet provided details on the process for appointing a replacement for the remainder of Pouquette’s current term, which expires on December 31, 2024.
