The parents took the trip to Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium together with elder Prince Nikolai (21) to celebrate that the 18-year-old has now finished high school. The prince is now looking forward to new chapters in life, and will already complete military service by the autumn.
After the celebration on Wednesday, however, it is mother Countess Alexandra who has stolen most of the headlines. The Danish press quickly noticed that the countess’s appearance had changed since she was last seen in public, which of course created speculation.
On Thursday, the 56-year-old’s secretary went out to the press and confirmed that Countess Alexandra has gone under the knife. Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen says Picturemagazine that it is a matter of a facelift.

– Natural to do
– Yes, I can confirm that. Countess Alexandra would like to be responsible for the fact that she has undergone surgery, says the secretary to the magazine.
Wildenrath Løvgreen further says that Prince Joachim’s ex-wife underwent eye surgery last week, in addition to a “small lift” of the neck and lower face. Countess Alexandra wants to be open about this, even though it is basically a private matter.
– Not only because it is so clear, but also because the countess thinks that modern women should stand by their choices and not be embarrassed that they get professional help. It has gradually become a natural thing to do, and there are very few who can say that they have not done anything, the press contact continues.
Wildenrath Løvgreen is also asked why Countess Alexandra has chosen to carry out the operation.

– I can only say that Countess Alexandra has felt that her appearance should match her interior. It is a personal feeling and a completely natural wish, she says to Billed Bladet.

New weld
In any case, there is no doubt that the Countess seemed to be in a good mood when she and the rest of the family celebrated that Prince Felix had completed thirteen years of schooling earlier this week.
The young prince has also undergone a small change this week.
When the family gathered once again at Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium on Friday morning to see Prince Felix and the rest of the litter driving a horse-drawn carriage, the recent graduating student had been given a new weld.
The 18-year-old has chosen to get rid of all his hair, a decision he told more about to the attended press corps, according to Picturemagazine.
– Yes, the hair has disappeared. I’m going to the military after the summer holidays, so it’s my mother who cut it, laughed the young prince, before he and his fellow students ran to the horse-drawn carriage to celebrate.
The tradition of driving in a carriage is unique to the Danes, but Prince Felix had to see himself nicely forced to run after the carriage with the other graduating students. There is a special reason for this.
– The rule is that you have to run after the carriage to the first stop if you get 12 in the last subject, dad Prince Joachim explained to the press.
–
12 is the best grade you can get in Denmark, and the prince made no secret of the fact that he was very proud of his 18-year-old son.
– It has been very moving, so yes, I am very proud. It is completely epic, said Prince Joachim.
