After a while, Gedik was taken to Ödemiş State Hospital with complaints of vision loss and nausea. Gedik, who was treated here, was later transferred to a private hospital in the Kahramanlar District of Konak district. Ali Gedik died at around 18:00 today in the hospital where he was treated. Gedik’s body was taken to the morgue of the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy after the prosecutor’s examination. On the other hand, with the death of Gedik, the number of people who lost their lives due to fake alcohol rose to 23 in İzmir.

Saner Tolukan, who fished in the Vize district, allegedly took alcohol with his 2 friends yesterday evening. According to the allegation, 3 people who became ill after drinking hand-made fake alcohol were taken to Vize State Hospital by their relatives. Tolukan and one of his friends were sent to the State Hospital of Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ and one to the Çorlu State Hospital.
Soner Tolukan, who was in severe condition, out of three people who were determined to have been poisoned by fake alcohol, died this evening. It was reported that the other 2 friends were continuing their treatment in hospitals and their conditions were severe.
After Derya Altan died in Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli, Soner Tolukan became the second person to die of fake drink in Kırklareli.
