Muzzle from the machine: As Valve revealed in a blog post, they are working on a system that silences troublemakers in “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive”: it mutes them in voice chat.

Valve has come up with a system that “toxic users” such as screaming necks and trolls automatically, so that things will get a bit more civilized in future in the e-sports shooter “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” (CS: GO) shut up.

Complaints about “Abusive Communications” must precede the process – in other words, if a teammate in the matches gets really annoying with inappropriate comments, noise or insults, you can report them. If this happens from several sides, the troublemaker first receives an automatic warning. If he ignores them and causes further complaints, the program will eventually mute them.

Anyone who has ever been branded with the “Default Mute” status must collect a lot of experience points without further reports, but without giving any further details, according to Valve. Alternatively, each player can decide for himself whether he would like to manually set the quiet trash talker to “loud” again.

The voice of experienced players matters more

In order to prevent a big wave of Petz, the system weights the messages from gamers who spend a lot of time in CS: GO and rarely black out other users, than those from casual gamers and permanent complainers.

Valve has already started the first tests and claims to be collecting initial complaints. However, it is not certain when the first users will be punished. The fact is: CS: GO almost never runs! On February 8, more than 874,000 users gambled at the same time – the shooter broke its record of 850,000 players that had existed since April 2016.
