As you usually do at the end of the year, the Steam, digital gaming platform from Valve, revealed the best of 2021 in several different categories. According to the company’s own data, the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive it ended up as one of the games with the highest gross revenue over the entire year.

At the Platinum level, Valve’s title joined 11 other games that were also pointed out as the ones that managed to earn the most. The title joined other successful games such as PUBG, Battlefield, Rainbow Six Siege and Apex Legends, both present as successful electronic sports modalities.

However, the developer did not reveal in detail the amount that Counter-Strike managed to raise during this year. Either way, the game received Operation Riptide, which may have served as a great motivator for players to put money into CS:GO.
