The Sebastián Pérez Enríquez Art Room in Los Silos hosted the presentation of the Tennis Master Barceló Hotel Group Los Silos Natural 2021This tournament, which will be held next November in the Silense municipality.
Among the authorities invited and present at the event, the presence of Macarena Fuentes Socas, mayor of Los Silos; Concepción Rivero Rodríguez, councilor of the Sports Area of the Cabildo de Tenerife; Francisco Blanco Manso, president of the IBP Uniuso Tennis Series; José Juan Mendéz del Pino, president of the Sibora Tennis Club and director of the Master Barceló; Miguel del Prado Trallero, president of the Tenerife Island Tennis Federation; Antonio Rodríguez Ramos, Councilor for Sports of the Los Silos City Council; councilors of the municipal corporation and, numerous public that completed the capacity provided by the organization following the measures established by the health authorities.
The act began with a gesture of remembrance and solidarity that the people in charge of the IBP Circuit and the Sibora Tennis Club wanted to express together, keeping a minute of silence in memory of the people who died from Covid-19 so far this year. pandemic and, in the same way, transferring words of strength and encouragement to our brothers and sisters from the neighboring island of La Palma, given the situation they are experiencing due to the volcanic eruption of Cumbre Vieja.
Regarding the tournament, it should be noted that the difficulties and measures imposed by the health authorities due to the pandemic of coronavirus, have not been an obstacle to the development of events in the IBP Tennis circuit, that has been operating at full capacity during this year 2021. The aforementioned national amateur tennis circuit has been developing throughout the Spanish geography since April with a calendar of more than 100 tournaments, between female and male cadres. The tournament brings together competitions that are already established and with tradition in their field, and in the last edition held outside the pandemic, almost 1,500 tennis players participated in them.
This calendar will last until next November, with the traditional Tennis Master Barcelo Hotel Group Los Silos Natural of the circuit, which will host the Sibora Tennis Club in Los Silos, And this year it offers a novelty, by moving the surface from artificial grass to clay.
