The aforementioned law will enter into force once it is promulgated by the Municipal Executive of La Paz in charge of Mayor Iván Arias.

Dulón assured that the norm was elaborated at the request of the Municipal Scientific Committee that is part of the Emergency Operations Committee (COEM).

That instance determined on Wednesday that the requirement of presenting the vaccination card be regulated in order to encourage the inhabitants of La Paz to be vaccinated or complete their schedule.

The requirement of the vaccination card at the national level was suspended indefinitely since January 26, after a series of protests by anti-vaccine movements and sectors related to the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) with which the national government met.

According to the Council’s press release, the MAS opposition caucus rejected the norm.
