Place orders

The municipal council has awarded various contracts for the construction of the fire station building. With four offers received, the carpentry work went to the company Karl Burger GmbH from Waldkirch with a gross offer sum of 309,765 euros. Three offers had been received for the glazing work. Here the bid went to the Walter joinery from Gutach for 92,765 euros. For the sheet metal and roofing work, the company Matthias Schweizer from Winden submitted the cheapest offer with 159 004 euros. Finally, the barley construction was also awarded. This order went to Paul Becker GmbH from Denzlingen for 28,964 euros.

Rounding errors

The council unanimously decided to adjust the parental contributions for the church kindergarten St. Michael. In the early morning shift, the contribution for families with four children increases from 3.50 to four euros per day of care. The decision was, however, only a correction of a rounding error on the part of the Archdiocese of Freiburg. In the last meeting before
the summer break the council had the
3.50 euros decided the amount
However, it should have been 50 cents higher.

New fees

The council approved a recommendation by the administration to raise the parental contributions for childcare in the “dwarf house” by five percent. From October 1, 2020, these will be 252 euros per month for 5.5 hours of care and 275 euros for six hours. In addition, the administration was commissioned to implement the premium increases recommended by the municipal state associations without consulting the municipal council.

Start of work

The earthworks for the renovation of the municipal building yard in Finstermhle began on Monday. The shell construction work is expected to begin at the beginning of October and the construction of the steel hall from November 9th. The contract for the steel hall was awarded to the Winterhalter und Maurer company in Malterdingen at an offer price of EUR 148,714. The council awarded the electrical work to Paul Allgeier in Biederbach at an offer price of 26,025 euros. The heating work is carried out by the Schindler company from Gutach at an offer price of 50,302.49 euros, the plumbing work by Hubert Becherer from Elzach at an offer price of 19,149 euros.

Meetings set

Local councilor Konrad Schultis brought forward a request from a recreational sports group to move the local council’s conference location again. The club trains on Thursday evening in the Black Forest Hall. Since this is used once a month by the municipal council in Corona times, the association has to give way. As long as the Corona regulations still apply, the public meetings of the council cannot yet be moved back to the council chamber, said Mayor Mathis. The meeting dates are set at least until the end of the year.
