Dead Island 2 is one of the biggest game releases in April 2023 and it will be released on the 21st of the month. As fans of the franchise know, the sequel to the original Dead Island has been a work in progress for nearly a decade. The original game released in 2011, and the developers soon began working on the sequel a couple of years later.
While fans have waited a long time for a return to the zombie-slaying franchise, the wait will soon be over. However, there is a certain section of the community that wonders if they will be able to experience the fun on April 21.
That section of the community is Xbox Game Pass subscribers, and they’re curious if Dead Island 2 will be a launch title for them.
Dead Island 2 llegará a Xbox Game Pass
While neither the game developers nor Xbox have said anything official, there are currently no plans for Dead Island 2 to come to Xbox Game Pass. This includes both at launch and in the future. It also includes those who use a regular Xbox, PC, or the cloud to run Game Pass.
So if you’re relying on Game Pass to play all the recent releases, you’re going to have to find another way to play the second game in the Dead Island series. While Dead Island 2 could eventually see a Game Pass release, it doesn’t seem likely at this point. For those who want to play Dead Island 2, it will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store (time-exclusive), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
Dead Island 2 officially arrives on April 21 and will cost $60 if you’re on PC or a previous-gen console, but $70 if you’re on a current-gen console.
