The world has got to know a new clinical picture: sinus vein thrombosis. The temporary cessation of vaccination with the Astrazeneca vaccine has put the spotlight on the often fatal blood clots in cerebral veins. But there are remedies for thrombosis; in hospitals, the syringes with blood thinners are often given. The possibility was not discussed in public, however, and a number of countries – including Germany – suspended the vaccinations as a precaution.
