The Military was formally born on Could 29, 1810 by determination of the First Authorities Board, after the basic function that army troops had performed throughout the Could Revolution. It was, no doubt, a key step on the trail in direction of future independence, declared six years later.
At the moment, the Military is in control of contributing to nationwide protection to guard the sovereignty of Argentine territory. Moreover, its members are in control of defending pure sources, the atmosphere and territorial integrity, in addition to contributing to scientific, technological, financial and social improvement, cooperating to realize the overall well-being of the communities, take part in peace and humanitarian help missions, and supply assist within the combat towards narcoterrorism.
