The LREM deputy of the 5th district of Côte-d’Or affirms that the country has been able to resist and adapt to the health crisis. According to Didier Paris, France will continue its recovery.
Press release from Didier Paris,
deputy of the 5th constituency of Côte-d’Or:
The year 2021 has, of course, once again been strongly marked by the pandemic.
On this day, I think of the victims and their families, very hard hit by this tragedy.
I am also thinking of the nursing staff, the security and rescue forces and all those who have counted neither their time nor their energy to fight this scourge. We owe them a lot.
Our country, undoubtedly even better than in other areas of Europe and the world, has been able to resist, adapt to constantly changing circumstances and show a sense of responsibility that some people could doubt.
The health of our fellow citizens has always been the top priority of public authorities. But we have, at the same time and in particular thanks to our companies, public services and all elected officials, achieved the feat of maintaining, at a high level, our economic activity, growth while continuing to reduce unemployment started before the crisis.
These first days of 2022 remain dominated by Covid news, but we must have confidence in our future. Let us remain vigilant but the situation, in particular because of the very high vaccination rate, will improve and France will continue to recover.
I extend to each and every one of you my warmest wishes for this new year 2022, a year that I wish in solidarity, of shared happiness and which continues to unite us around the common values of the Republic.
