CÔTE-D’OR: Didier Paris defends the vaccine strategy

According to deputy LREM, “the Côte-d’Or is effectively deploying the government’s ambitious vaccine strategy”.

Press release from Didier Paris of February 2, 2021:

Contrary to what a few elected officials have supported for political reasons, the vaccination strategy continues to be deployed nationwide and allows the Côte d’Or to largely achieve vaccination objectives.

The national goal of vaccinating 1 million people in January was exceeded a week in advance, thanks to the exceptional mobilization of everyone: every day we inject more than 100,000 doses of vaccine and more than 1.3 million people have already been vaccinated.

In Côte d’Or, the objective of 10,000 vaccinations in January was also largely achieved with 18,000 injections carried out and by the end of February 30,000 to 35,000 vaccines should be able to be carried out.

These initial results deserve to be praised: with 14 vaccination centers and thanks to the mobilization of elected officials, the prefectural body, the ARS and health personnel, the Côte d’Or is effectively deploying the Government’s ambitious vaccination strategy. .

The vaccine campaign is therefore continuing with the support of production aid announced by the Sanofi laboratory for more than 100 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and the expected arrival of the AstraZeneca vaccine in mid-February, after the authorization on the market issued by the European Commission.

The drop in supply from pharmaceutical laboratories Pfizer and Moderna is not due to French deficiencies but has had an impact on certain schedules: some meetings will have to be postponed, but all will be rescheduled. France questions each delay by reminding suppliers of their commitments and staying on course for its objectives.

In this context, out of constant concern for the best protection of the French and unlike other countries, the Government has decided to maintain the time limits for injecting the second dose of vaccines in order to comply with the protocols which have shown maximum protection of the vaccine. people vaccinated.

France has chosen an ambitious vaccine strategy, within a coherent and responsible European framework, fully coordinated with local elected officials.
