Departing on August 14 from the IMT Lille Douai engineering school, 32 students planned to travel 1,500 km in tandem to raise awareness about blood donation. They will stop at Viévigne on Tuesday, August 24.
32 students travel 1500 km in tandem to promote blood donation. Their Tour de France aims to help the French Blood Establishment by mobilizing blood donors, in a period of high tension in stocks of blood products linked to the health crisis.
These future engineers have the ambitious objective of collecting 2000 pledges in less than 2 weeks and will cross 8 French regions. Eurotandem is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and benefits from the support of the French Blood Establishment (EFS) and the French Federation of Volunteer Blood Donors (FFDSB).
“This sporting and united challenge allows us to collect an average of 1,500 pledges each year. The commitment of the members of the Eurotandem association is precious to us. 10,000 blood donations are needed every day to meet the needs of all patients. ”
