“The game and entertainment ecosystem is one of the most dynamic sectors of the modern economy. It is one of the levers of the attractiveness of a tourist destination”, mentioned Siandou Fofana, Minister of Tourism who spoke at the ceremony to celebrate World Leisure Day which took place on Saturday, May 27. 2023 at the Bingerville Botanical Garden with the central theme, “Leisure, a factor of integration and development for young people”.
Siandou Fofana, Minister of Tourism and also president of the ceremony also invited young entrepreneurs to invest in the sector because the leisure economy has invaluable potential.
In addition, the Minister indicated that he should work with his teams on the organization of the “States General of Leisure” to be submitted to the two Chambers of Parliament to enact a real national policy for Leisure.
This ceremony was also an opportunity to highlight the ambitious objectives of making Côte d’Ivoire a sub-regional entertainment hub. In line with the “Sublime Côte d’Ivoire” strategy, this day helped to strengthen the determination to develop the entertainment industry in the country, thus providing economic, cultural and social opportunities for all.
This event was organized by the Direction Générale des Loisirs, which was able to bring together many participants from all walks of life.
