Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / An Islamic community aims to collect 200 blood bags – FAAPA FR



Abidjan, Feb 1, 2021 (AIP) – The Islamic community Mouhammadiyyat aims to collect 200 blood bags as part of a blood donation operation initiated Sunday January 31, 2021 in Abidjan-Abobo.

According to the Secretary General of the Abobo section, Issa Doumbia, this blood drive is an idea of ​​the Imam, EL Hadj Abdourahamane Hamed Koudous Konaté and will be renewed in three months.

According to Mr. Doumbia, the populations of the commune of Abengourou, in the region of Indenié, were dying because of the shortage of blood in hospitals. Faced with this fact, Imam Doudous, took the initiative to save lives by urging his community and others to donate blood.

In order to provide support for this humanitarian act, four Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) motivated their members to come and donate blood. These include the NGO, the new face of Abobo, the association of the deaf and hard of hearing of the municipality.

The Mouhammadiyyat Islamic Community is organizing a blood donation operation in each locality where it is represented, we note.
