The “White Night” of the traders returns to Cossato. The Cossatoshop association shows off the next initiatives to revitalize the city. The first is entitled «Street Commerce» and is scheduled for Sunday 8 May in collaboration with the Cossato market. Via Mazzini and Via Martiri della Libertà will be closed to traffic to allow street vendors from Biella to set up their stalls, shopkeepers to display their products outside and bartenders and restaurateurs to bring tables and chairs onto the street for breakfast, lunch or aperitifs. The main street, therefore, will be transformed throughout the day into an open-air living room where you can shop, meet and taste. «This year, then, there will be the return of the Notte Bianca – says Franco Basone, president of Cossatoshop -. It will be June 25 and, also in this case, it will take place in the streets of the centre. We are finalizing the final details, but we already know that there will be an Argentinian barbecue and country and Latin American dances». The summer and autumn of Cossato will then be characterized by many other events organized by various associations and realities, as well as by the municipal administration and by Cossatoshop. The Cossato Urban District website (at www.cossatoduc.it) will soon be a point of reference for finding the calendar of all scheduled events.
The site is already online and at the moment the VII Quad Ride of the Biella area has been added, a national gathering which will take place on Sunday 1 May, meeting in Piazza Croce rossa at 7.30, organized by «Tutto il Biellese in cross», and a of Harley Davidson promoted by Bear Crew from 24 to 26 June. «In July, then, on the first Sunday of the month, the Crocetta market will return – announces the municipal councilor Sonia Borin -. For autumn, on the other hand, in mid-October, an event linked to wine is being organized in collaboration with the local wineries. On Saturday there will be a themed dinner with shows in the city and on Sunday, at the castle of Castellengo, a demonstration on the grape harvest. Finally, to celebrate Halloween, always at the castle there will be a treasure hunt for children on Sunday 30 October, while on Monday 31 October in the bars of Cossato “terrifying” aperitifs will be offered».
