COSMOTE: Network problems in Northern Greece – “100” and “199” are down – 2024-02-20 06:24:51

Problems with fixed and mobile telephony services are recorded in regions of the prefectures Kilkis, Serron, Kavala, Drama, Xanthi, Rhodope and Evrosas well as in Thassos, Samothrace and Lakeas two central cables of the trunk network were cut in different places, according to COSMOTE information.

In a statement, the company notes that its technicians are making every effort to repair the fault and asks for customers’ understanding of the disruption.

The announcement of the ELAS Headquarters:

It is announced that due to damage to the fixed telephone network of the “100” emergency call centers and the local police services of the General Regional Police Directorate of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, as well as the Police Directorate of Serres, citizens are requested to call the European emergency number “112 » to immediately contact the local emergency services to provide any assistance.

If the damage is repaired, a newer update will follow.

The announcement of the Fire Department:

We announce that, due to a breakdown in the telephone network “199”, in the Regional Operations Centers of the Fire Brigade, in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace as well as in the Regional Unit of Serres, citizens should call the European emergency number “112”.
