The Northern and Southern river stations were prepared for the start of summer navigation, reported Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his Telegram channel. Last year, river transport set a record for the number of passengers, Sobyanin noted. In 2023, 2.2 million trips were taken on pleasure boats and cruise ships, up 22% from the previous year. “This year, the summer navigation season will open on April 24, and we expect that river transportation will be just as popular,” the capital’s mayor wrote.
