Olario Cosmin, coach of Sharjah (Al-King), criticized the last quarter of an hour that his team played against Al-Nasr (Al-Ameed).
The two sides had faced each other in the “Smiling Emirate” in the 16th round of the President’s Cup, with the king achieving a difficult victory, 2-1.
“We played well, and even more than well, over the course of 75 minutes,” Cosmin said, referring to the timing of Sharjah’s second goal, which came from a penalty kick that Miralem Pjanic successfully scored.
The Romanian coach noted he had “missed many opportunities” up to that minute.
Kuzmin added, “But perhaps some things made the players feel under pressure. In the last minutes of the match, we were supposed to have more control over the game. The penalty kick that was given to the dean increased the pressure on us, and caused some confusion,” referring to the kick that was taken by Antonio Tose. With success in the 88th minute, reducing the deficit to 2-1.
The coach, who came from the Chinese Super League, confirmed at the end of his remarks, “The important thing is that we got the victory … and we must continue the path.”
“Even if things are not perfect yet, we are a team that competes for all championships, and we will strive to continue until the end,” Kuzmin added.
