The investigation began after the complaint of a citizen who turned to the police exasperated by the continuous requests for money made by the man, 53 years old. He admitted to the military that he had sexual relations with both the woman and the young woman behind the payment of small sums of money, relationships that took place in the underground parking lots of the Cosenza railway station and in an area under the Calatrava bridge.
From the wiretaps made by the investigators, the offenses and mortifications to which the 51-year-old was subjected, threatened once even with death with a knife, her difficulty in understanding the situation, the psychological subjection to family members and the complaints for violence suffered.
The last episode discovered by the carabinieri dates back to October, when the son attacked the mother inside a reception facility despite the presence of the director, who immediately called the military. After the attack, the woman was hospitalized and subsequently in a specialized clinic to remove her from family violence.
Cultural and social degradation The investigation revealed, the prosecutor underlines, “a bleak picture within a family context characterized by serious social and cultural degradation”.
