Corsair Launches 27-Inch OLED Monitor Incorporating Micro Lens Array Technology and 240Hz Refresh Rate

Corsair is installing a 240Hz OLED monitor with a screen size of 27″ and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The screen has an OLED panel from LG display and has a response speed of 0.03ms. The device should be available for purchase from May.

The device is called the Xeneon 7QHD240 oled. The device has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels on a size of 27″. The monitor has support for both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. The panel in the monitor has a refresh rate of 240Hz and a response speed of 0.03ms. The OLED panel comes from LG display and has a peak brightness of 1000nits, and according to Corsair, the display covers 98.5 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum.

The Xeneon has two HDMI 2.1 connections on the back, a DisplayPort 1.4 connection and a USB Type-C DP Alt-Mode connection with which it is possible to display picture-in-picture. The monitor also has a USB 3.1 Type-C port and four USB 3.1 connections.

Corsair’s monitor is equipped with micro lens array-technology. MLA adds an extra layer to the panels that counteracts the internal scattering of light within the substrate of the panel and actually emits a greater portion of the light towards the viewer. This means more light output with the same electrical input.

With regard to adjustments to the sitting position, the monitor is adjustable in height by 10 centimetres. The monitor can also be rotated. The Xeneon can be rotated 60 degrees on the horizontal axis and 90 degrees on the vertical axis. The device can be tilted 22 degrees. The monitor can also be mounted on a Vesa mount. The front of the screen has a proximity sensor to make it easier for the user to press the right buttons.

The monitor will be in stores from May. It is not yet known at what price that will be.
