According to the revelations of the parisian, Chafic Alywan, chief executive of sterling Inter Dépannage, was arrested in December 2022 and imprisoned in Paris’ La Salute prison on suspicion of corruption. A former official of the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture, subject of preliminary investigations for several years, was also indicted.

The IGPN is conducting the investigation and is taking a close interest in Alywan’s relationship with police officials, especially the commissioners. The testimonies reported by Le Parisien indicate that the police had their car serviced free of charge in one of the garages also owned by Chafic Alywan.

Chafic Alywan, also close to Hezbollah and S file according to Le Parisien, is at the same time accused by his former employees of having made them work without an employment contract, in sometimes dangerous conditions with unapproved means. the wheels of the garbage cans” according to some. Labor lawsuits have accumulated for several years

In June, one of his employees of 7 years died after being mowed down on the A4 motorway while he was towing a vehicle. According to Le Parisien, Chafic Alywan then speaks publicly, accusing him of making his own repairs with company vehicles: “this is what happens to those who try to screw me!”.

Hundreds of thousands of euros at his home

Employees would also be encouraged to request a cash transaction directly on site to return poorly parked vehicles to their owners, outside any legal framework. The Inter Dépannage leader would also have asked his employees to be very accommodating towards cars belonging to drug traffickers.

Several hundred thousand euros were found at his home during his arrest, Le Parisien reports. In June 2021, during the tender called by the City of Paris, Inter Dépannage was awarded the contract for the Foch and Charlety headlands for four years, covering the 7th, 8th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 16th th arrondissement, plus south of the 15th arrondissement.

His lawyers tell Le Parisien that “in this file of drawers, our client, presumed innocent, disputes the initial conclusions of the investigation, of which some allegations have been dealt with only partially and incompletely, and asks the investigating judge to be heard very quickly to bring in his defense all the clarifications and answers useful for the manifestation of the truth”

The reasons for the indictment of Chafic Alywan are numerous: “active and passive corruption by a person holding public authority”, “illegal assumption of interests”, “forgery in public writings”, “violation of professional secrecy”, “misuse of purpose of a file”, “money laundering” and “abuse of a social good”.
