Four years ago, Nikolas Löbel was a winner. Never before had the city of Mannheim sent a younger representative to the Bundestag. The 31-year-old was elected to the CDU, Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Party.

Now the party is furious at Löbel. He has earned NOK 2.6 million from arranging the sale of medical bandages.
