Mouthaan had an increase for six days, two of which had a fever of 39 degrees. He was also coughing and felt pressure on his chest. He says that he was never short of breath and that he could not be tested for corona because the symptoms were not severe enough. “I took a rest in consultation with my general practice.”
“I have been symptom-free for three days now, although I am still tired quickly,” says Mouthaan, 47. “My body needs a lot of sleep. In the past few weeks you have seen me report a few times from my self-isolation in my apartment.”
Mouthaan hopes to resume his role as an on-site reporter in the coming week. “I did not report my circumstances during the peak of my illness because we simply were not confirmed what was going on and because there are many with more severe symptoms,” he said.
He now chooses to do this, “to indicate how easy it is to contract this”.
