One of the most anticipated running events of the year, the Salvador 2023 Marathon, which takes place this Sunday (24), will have lots of music throughout the route. The start will be at Parque dos Ventos, on the edge of Boca do Rio.

To cheer up the runners before the start of the race, the Fit Dance group gives a performance at 5am, on a stage close to the start. Further along the marathon route, on the way back from Multishopping, in Boca do Rio, Boteco Elétrico, led by samba singer Márcia Lins, puts on a show from 5am to 6:30am.

The music continues along the route. In the Jardim de Alah section, from 5:30 am to 7 am, the Rixô Elétrico group will lead the party. At Avenida Magalhães Neto, in the Complexo Viário Tatti Moreno, the artist Ezequiel Violino performs from 6:30 am to 7:30 am.

At Dique do Tororó, the group Os My Friends plays from 7:30 am to 9 am, on a stage close to Restaurante Porteira. Anyone passing by Cristo, in Barra, will find Ivan Huol’s Microtrio, which entertains the corridors from 7am to 8:30am.

To conclude the cultural presentations, at 10 am, the band Bailinho de Quinta performs on a board at the Arena da Marathon, entertaining the public with old carnival marches. For the first time at the event, singer and guitarist Graco, from Bailinho de Quinta, spoke about the unprecedented participation. “We had never played at an event like this and we are excited about the experience. Now we are in the preparation marathon (laughs), but we can’t wait for Sunday’s show”, jokes the artist.

According to him, the repertoire prepared for the runners is very danceable. “We will play Gal Costa, Moraes Moreira, Duda Beat, Caetano Veloso, Vanessa da Mata, Rita Lee, Ivete Sangalo and mix much more to give that carnival tone that is characteristic of Bailinho”, he added.

The Salvador Marathon will bring together more than 8 thousand athletes, from 300 Brazilian cities, who will participate in the 42 km, 21 km, 10 km and 5 km race. The event is part of the calendar of official events in the capital of Bahia and is organized by the City of Salvador through the Salvador Tourism Company (Saltur).
