Brazilians have not yet withdrawn R $ 7.79 billion in resources “forgotten” in the financial system, according to new data from the Central Bank (BC) considering the amounts until the end of February. To date, the so-called Acceptable Value System (SVR) – which was offline for almost a year, and returned to operation in March 2023 – has returned R $ 6.23 billion, out from a total of R $ 14.02 billion that was available to banks.
Most people and companies who have not yet withdrawn are eligible for small amounts.
Amounts received up to R$10 make up 63.48% of the beneficiaries. Values between R$10.01 and R$100 correspond to 25.14% of accountants.
Amounts between R $ 100.01 and R $ 1,000 represent 9.65% of customers. Only 1.72% are entitled to receive more than R$1,000.
