The number rose to 94 this past Tuesday (15) with the shooting death of a woman in Pernambués

In the early hours of this Tuesday (15), a woman was killed on Rua 28 de Abril, in the region of Pernambués. Still unidentified, the victim was the 94th woman killed in Salvador and the Metropolitan Region this year alone. The data is from the Fogo Cruzado Institute.

The study explained that of the 94 people affected by firearms in 2024, 57 died, which represents almost 60% of the total number of people affected.

Last year, the number was even higher. To date (15/10/2023), 129 women have been killed in Salvador and RMS. Among them, 85 died.
