sport">Tim injured his back on Friday in the sixth stage. Intensive physiotherapy on the rest day seemed to help and the brothers started the seventh stage on Sunday. That didn’t go well, but the duo made it to the finish. Monday morning it turned out to be completely wrong with Tim’s back. “He can barely walk,” says Tom. “He’s done the Dakar fifteen times now, I’ve done it ten times. There will be another next year.”

sport">The brothers were in 20th place overall in the cars, nearly 4 hours behind leader Nasser Al-Attiyah. The eighth stage will be held there on Monday. It concerns a desert test over 395 kilometers from Al Dawadimi to Wadi Ad Dawasir.
