He Ministry of Health reported for the first time, in its daily balance, the deceased reported by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS).
In this report, the DEIS reported 98 died in the last 24 hours with a total of 8,347 deaths due to the pandemic.
The Minsal reported 2,840 new infections, 1,057 more cases than those reported yesterday, of which: 2,125 cases present symptoms, 525 are asymptomatic and 170 cases have not been reported.

The Undersecretary of Assistance Networks, Arturo Zúñiga, reported that there is 1,796 hospitalized, among them 327 critically ill patients and 1,502 connected patients to mechanical ventilation.
In the last 24 hours, 18,699 PCR tests, with an associated positivity rate of 15.19 percent, reaching a total of 1,370,603 PCR tests since the start of the pandemic.
Also, the health authority explained that there are 9,963 total places in 157 healthcare residences nationwide, in addition to 467 mechanical fans available.
