The head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has acknowledged that it was too early to write off the possible link between the coronary pandemic and a potential lab leak.

“The WHO calls on China to be transparent, open and cooperative, especially with regard to data and first-hand information that we have been asking for since the beginning of the pandemic,” Adhanom Ghebreyesus said. The Guardian.

Defies own report

Biden wants to find out whether the virus has infected humans via animals, such as bats and shellfish, or whether it has spread via a laboratory accident in Wuhan, as some have speculated.
The aim will also be to find out whether the Chinese authorities first tried to cover up the outbreak, as they have been accused of by some. Here, there will also be a search for eavesdropping data and emails that may reveal what has happened.
