Coronavirus Valencia: Data on deaths and infections today

The Ministry of Health has provided today, as every day, the data on infections and deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the Valencian Community. In the last 24 hours, there have been 7 other deaths from coronavirus, one of them a resident in a social health center. In total there are already 1,425 people who have not been able to overcome the covid-19. There have been five deaths in Valencia, one in Castelló and one in the province of Alicante. Yesterday, the data were from one dead and 24 new infections in the Valencian Community.

The Valencian Community has registered a total of 247 discharges admitted by coronavirus, seven deceased (one in residence) and 24 positive cases confirmed by PCR, two of them imported from the United States.

According to the daily balance of the Ministry of Health, offered this Thursday by the councilor Ana Barceló, the number of new cases from this Wednesday is repeated, with six deaths and 23 more discharges.

Of the last 24 positives, 11 correspond to the province of Alicante, six to Valencia and five to Castellón. The total number of cases confirmed by PCR in the Region reaches 11,160.

This Thursday 190 people are still admitted, 16 fewer in one day, and 24 of them in ICU (three less). Up to 114 of them in Valencia (eight in the ICU), 62 in Alicante (12) and 14 in Castellón (four).

Among the seven deceased, one of them in residence, five correspond to Valencia, one to Alicante and the other to Castellón, up to a total of 1,425.

There are positive cases in 73 residences, one less than this Wednesday: 34 in Valencia, 31 in Alicante and eight in Castellón. A total of 28 are still under active surveillance: 13 in Valencia, seven in Alicante and eight in Castellón.

The number of discharges is already ten times higher than that of cases confirmed by PCR, as highlighted by the minister in his second weekly appearance, up to a cumulative of 11,649. The last 247 are divided into 126 in Valencia, 89 in Castellón and 32 in Alicante.

And health professionals add 26 new discharges, to a total of 2,188 since the start of the pandemic, with 524 confirmed positive cases.
