The COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine is effective against new strains of the disease and lasts longer than other vaccines.

“There is two good news (regarding vaccines – ed.) That has become known through new research and data. First, COVID-19 vaccine will last significantly longer than influenza vaccine, that is, not less than 8 months, and possibly up to two years. Secondly, the data were released, how much a vaccine like Pfizer or Moderna protects against a new strain that spreads from the UK and South Africa… A study with the serum of people who have been immunized with a virus in which an artificial mutation has been introduced has demonstrated that the vaccine protects these people from the new virus, ”he said.
Coronavirus vaccine: when will it be in Ukraine?
- The developers of the German pharmaceutical company BioNTech, together with the American corporation Pfizer, have achieved a high efficiency rate in the third phase of vaccine trials. The trials involved 43,538 volunteers who received the vaccine and placebo. Among all the participants in the tests, 94 people fell ill with coronavirus infection. According to the manufacturers, no serious side effects of the vaccine were detected during the studies.
