So, scientists compared the results of 11 million vaccinated people with the same number of unvaccinated people.
In particular, it was determined that 14 days after receiving the second dose of the vaccine, the vaccinated are 90% less at risk of going to the hospital or dying if infected with COVID-19.
At the same time, a significant protective effect is also observed in the case of infection with the “Delta” strain – 84% for people aged 75 and older and 92% for people 50-75 years old.
