Coronavirus: two new positive cases in eastern Gers

Two people were tested positively for Covid-19 this Friday, July 24, 2020, indicates the prefecture of Gers in a press release.
This brings to 282 the number of positive cases in the Gers since the start of the health crisis. This is a man residing in the commune of Samatan and a woman, a member of the same family as the case declared in the commune of Pujaudran on Tuesday, July 21. These people remain in isolation at home. Their state of health is not of concern.
In collaboration with the Regional Health Agency and the Regional Public Health Unit for France, the Health Insurance teams are carrying out the necessary investigations to identify people in prolonged and close contact so that they can undergo screening tests.

At the other end of the department, precisely, a campaign of free tests has been carried out since Wednesday in Aire-sur-l’Adour, a town in the Landes bordering the Gers, after five cases of Covid-19 were identified in 72 hours. The inhabitants of 10 Gers municipalities attached to the Aire living area are affected by this screening campaign which continues until July 30 at the polyclinic and the SYNLAB Adour laboratory. A maximum of 200 tests can be performed per day.

The virus is still circulating!

The Occitanie Regional Health Agency recalls that the virus is still circulating, including during this summer period. Everyone is invited to adopt barrier gestures that allow them to protect themselves and others.
Since Monday, July 20, 2020, wearing a mask is mandatory in enclosed public spaces.

In case of symptoms of the disease, even mild, it is recommended to consult your doctor who may order a screening test.

All health recommendations are disseminated and updated in real time on the site www.gouvernement.fr/info-coronavirus.
