Florence, April 26, 2020 – Public parks open from May 4, but with contingent entrances. Yes to jogging and running sessions even away from your home, but respecting the social distancing. Move through the region from one municipality to another it will be possible but only for proven work or health reasons, as now. Monday 4th May off to phase two
On Monday 4 May therefore phase two starts and also for Tuscany different things change. It will be fundamental, explains Conte, to maintain social distancing. The government task force, in collaboration with the Regions, will monitor the contagion indicators: in the event that an area shows worrying data, there will be new closures.
Self-certification remains
Therefore, self-certification remains and travel within the Region will be allowed only for study or work reasons but also for visits to relatives.
We will be able to visit relatives
In fact, it will be possible to visit relatives within your region: these are targeted movements, in which it will be necessary to maintain social distancing and all precautions. The premier states that parties or family celebrations will not be allowed. The motivation for the meeting between relatives will therefore be among the elements that will allow the movement in the region. The motivation for visiting relatives should be included in what will be a new self-certification to be presented to the police in case of control at a checkpoint.
Sports, yes to individual training for professionals
From 4 May, professionals and athletes considered to be of national interest will be able to resume individual training, keeping any distance. The training will obviously be carried out in closed-door facilities.
Movements between different municipalities only for special needs
The prohibition on moving between the municipalities of the same region remains: this type of travel will be possible, as now, only for proven work or health needs.
Public parks open, yes to running
It will be possible to go to public parks, but access will be contingent: the mayors will indicate how to access the parks and the mayors will always be able to close those parks where quota access is not possible. It will also be possible to run. Until now it was possible to run around the house, from 4 May you can go even further, while maintaining the social distance between one and two meters.
Hairdressers open only in June
Only in a second phase will hairdressers and beauty centers be opened: there is talk of June 1, for the moment this type of economic activity remains closed. The shutters should reopen on June 1.
Takeaway catering starts
From 4 May, restaurants will be able to take away activities: it will be possible to go to the restaurant to pick up the meal at home or at work. Assemblies must be avoided, the rows must be ordered and respecting the social distancing.
Manufacturing, construction and wholesale trade start again
From May 4, some strategic sectors reopen: manufacturing, construction and wholesale trade for manufacturing and construction. The reopening will be allowed on condition that the companies respect all security measures.
Bars and restaurants? There is to wait
According to the premier, bars and restaurants could reopen and be back in business no earlier than June 1st. Before that date it will be impossible to welcome customers back inside and have food eaten on the premises. Any confirmation, however, is postponed to an analysis of what will happen in the coming weeks.
Yes to funerals, here’s how
Funeral ceremonies will be allowed. The premier, still touched by the fact that many relatives have not been able to greet their loved ones so far with a real moment of recollection, confirms that the funeral will be held. But with no more than fifteen people present and respecting social distancing.
Shops open again on May 18th
The reopening of the retail trade is currently set for May 18, explains the premier. Obviously first there will be a whole series of checks, but six contagion parameters will remain low and the stores will reopen. Museums and exhibitions should also reopen on the same day.
