Florence, December 22, 2020 – Hospitalizations are falling, single cases are falling in one day: they are 309. And the percentage also falls between first tested and positive swabs found. This is what the numbers of the December 22 bulletin on the coronavirus infection say Tuscany. It is as if the virus had granted a respite, but attention, especially now, it must remain very high. There are 32,501 total cases to date a Florence (98 more than yesterday), 10,158 a Meadow (21 more), 10,258 a Pistoia (25 more), 7,473 a Massa-Carrara (25 more), 12,011 BC Lucca (38 more), 16,275 a Pisa (38 more), 8,260 a Livorno (19 more), 10,286 ad Arezzo (19 more), 4,707 a Siena (12 more), 4,060 a Grosseto (14 more). 555 positive cases were reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions.

The average age of the newly infected
The average age of 309 cases today is around 49 years (11% are under 20, 26% between 20 and 39, 31% between 40 and 59, 19% between 60 and 79 years , 13% are 80 or older).
The buffers increase but the new positives decrease
The first swabs, excluding the control ones, carried out on December 22 were 2.920, of which 10.6% was positive, for a total of 309 new positives. Yesterday, December 21, had been 2,150 subjects tested, of which 21% tested positive: the total number of newly infected on 21 December was 452.

The people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to covid patients today are a total of 1,116 (34 less than yesterday, minus 3%), 175 in intensive care (10 less than yesterday, minus 5.4%).
The 22 deaths
Today there are 22 new deaths: 10 men and 12 women with an average age of 79.3 years. Regarding the province of residence, the deceased people are: 7 in Florence, 2 in Prato, 1 in Pistoia, 1 in Massa-Carrara, 5 in Lucca, 1 in Pisa, 1 in Livorno, 1 in Arezzo, 2 in Siena, 1 resident outside Tuscany.
