Coronavirus: there were 26 deaths and 2,439 infections in 24 hours

As reported by Ministry of Health, since its last report there have been nine new deaths and people killed by coronavirus in Argentina they add 1,490 with a case fatality rate of 2% of confirmed cases. With 2,590 new infected, the total number of cases is 75,376.

While, there are 658 patients in intensive care and 27,597 have already been discharged, more than 36 percent of the total cases, indicated the secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti, who was accompanied by Alejandro Costa, undersecretary of Health Strategies, and Luciano Pezzuchi National coordinator of the Sumar Program.

The official asked “Intensify care and that in these two weeks we can continue working to increase diagnostic capacity, strengthen territorial actions and decrease viral transmission”.

Since the last report issued, 9 new deaths were recorded: 6 men, one without age data, three of 69, 77 and 81 years, residing in the province of Buenos Aires; one 87 years old, resident in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); one of 70 years, resident in the province of Neuquén; and 3 women, 2 of 80 and 88 years, residing in the province of Buenos Aires; and one 67-year-old, resident in the province of Neuquén.

Since the epidemic began, 399,452 tests have been carried out throughout the country, 9,072 tests in the last 24 hours, Undersecretary Costa detailed.
