The Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti, said this Tuesday from Rosario that the Federal Health Council will meet to analyze the application of a fourth dose of coronavirus vaccine and also pointed out that progress is being made towards a stage of “Integrated Respiratory Virus Surveillance”which will include covid-19.
“This Wednesday, we have a meeting of the Federal Health Council – the meeting of the Ministers of Health of the provinces and the national authorities – to agree again on how we advance with the second reinforcement, with what population”, detailed the national official.
“We are already talking about respiratory viruses, we have influenza virus circulation and we know that Sars Cov-2 It’s not going to go, it’s here to stay as seasonal respiratory virus”, added the minister.
Meanwhile, he said that the Nation promotes the “transition to integrated respiratory virus surveillance” and that “is a job that we will analyze in the Federal Council of Health”.
“We know that the virus mutates, that new variants will appear. What we have to do is keep taking care of ourselves. Among the people who had the natural infection and who are vaccinated (the coronavirus), it will not generate the burden of disease and all the hospitalizations and deaths it generated in the world”, analyzed the national minister.
Finally, he opined thatWith this level of preparation and knowledge, we already know and have the vaccinesnow we have to receive them and work on consensus”.
The Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti, was in Rosario this Tuesday together with the Minister of Health of Santa Fe, Sonia Martorano, the Minister of Health of Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak, the Minister of Health of Entre Ríos, Sonia Velázquez , the Secretary for Prevention and Promotion of Córdoba, Gabriela Barbas, and the Undersecretary for Health Planning and Network Management, Daniel Ferrante, for the meeting of the Regional Health Council Central Region.
