After the go-ahead from the Chamber to the majority resolution authorizing the Council of Ministers to launch the Dpcm for the management of Coronavirus pandemic, the word passes to the Executive. The meeting of the CDM has begun at Palazzo Chigi to extend the state of emergency for Covid to 31 January 2021 and approve the new decree with the general anti-contagion rules.

Mask always in your pocket: when to use it outdoors

To counter the second wave of infections, the government decree law provides that the mask must always be in your pocket or bag, to always be used “in indoor places accessible to the public”, including means of transport. But also in all outdoor places when you are close to people not living together. The forecasts of the anti-contagion protocols for specific economic, productive and social activities and the guidelines for the consumption of food and drinks remain operational.

Who is excluded from the obligation

People who are doing sports, children under the age of six and those with pathologies or disabilities incompatible with the use of the mask and those who interact with them are excluded from the obligations.

Smart working remains simplified

The extension of the state of emergency leaves the simplified smart working procedure active, without an individual agreement to activate the tool. The obligation remains to comply with the safety protocols defined for the reopening of workplaces, restaurants and clubs. There remains the limit of 200 people to go to the cinema, theater and concerts indoors and a thousand people for those outdoors.

The anti-contagion rules

The anti-contagion rules in force since the beginning of the pandemic remain, as confirmed in Parliament by the Minister of Salure Roberto Speranza: physical spacing of at least one meter, prohibition of gathering, compliance with hygiene measures, primarily hand washing. Obviously, the obligation to stay at home with more than 37.5 of fever remains.
