Coronavirus: the main library opens again for lending

Tübingen (BW) – Coronavirus: The main office of the city library in Nonnengasse will open its doors again on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, to restricted public traffic.

It is initially open on Wednesdays to Fridays from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is only possible to borrow media. The return takes place exclusively at the return machine. The branches in Derendingen, Waldhäuser-Ost and Wanne remain closed until further notice.

In order to comply with the hygiene regulations, only a limited number of visitors are allowed into the building at the same time, all others have to wait outside. Anyone entering the city library must ensure that their stay is as short as possible. Seating, work or internet places are currently not available. Access is only allowed with a mask. If you don’t have a mask with you, you can buy a reusable one on site.

In order to avoid longer waiting times, it is still possible to order media and pick them up at the output window. Those who belong to the risk group and live within the Tübingen urban area can even have the media delivered to their homes free of charge.
