Covid: Afp, over 1.2 million deaths worldwide
The deaths of Covid-19 worldwide have exceeded the threshold of 1.2 million, according to the latest AFP tally. In total, at least 1,200,042 deaths have been reported, out of 46,452,818 infections. Almost one in five deaths occurred in the United States, which with 230,996 deaths is the country with the highest number of victims (with 9,207,364 infections). Brazil follows with 160,074 deaths and 5,545,705 cases, India (122,607 deaths, 8,229,313 cases), Mexico (91,895, 929,392) and the United Kingdom (46,717, 1,034,914).
