The FFF confirmed, this Thursday morning, the end of all its tests, except the National 1 and the D1 women, for which there remains a hope of recovery. In an email addressed to all the presidents of regional leagues, Noël Le Graët, the president of the Federation, explained this choice and detailed the procedure to follow to establish the rankings, the climbs and the descents.

“Today we have to resolve to note that, with regard to the conditions necessary to overcome the Coronavirus, this wish (to resume the season) becomes impracticable for almost all of our competitions, he writes. ATussi, has the Executive Committee of the FFF decided on the final cessation of competitions in Leagues, Districts, National Youth Championships (female and male), National Futsal Championships, National 3, National 2 and Women’s D2. “

A stop of competitions on March 13
It also details the procedure to be adopted: “For the Leagues and Districts competitions, in which the greatest diversity of regulations prevails, the following decisions have been taken (except championships organized over a calendar year)

– stopping of competitions on March 13 (date of suspension of competitions) regardless of the number of games played

– fixing of the rankings according to the quotient number of points obtained / number of matches played in order to neutralize the effect of postponed matches

– tie of the tied clubs according to the rules of the competition concerned. If the rules of the competition are ineffective or do not allow the tiebreaker, application of criteria set by the Federation

– limitation of the number of downhills to one per hen, in line with the regulatory provision providing for the impossibility of recovering the last whatever the circumstances

– fixing the number of climbs according to the regulations prevailing for the competition concerned. “

Recovery hypotheses for National 1 and D1 women
Finally, the boss of the FFF explains why the National 1 and the D1 women are not concerned: “For the National 1 Championship, taking into account the possibility of postponing the end of the season more easily and therefore of finishing in good conditions on the one hand, and the sporting issue of the end of the season on the other go(barrier to access to the professional world),it was decided to continue working on the possibilities of resuming the Championship. Similarly, with regard to the women’s D1, the number of games to be played by the end of the season and the possibility of extending the end of the season beyond June 30 lead the FFF to study the hypotheses possible recovery. The decision taken must in particular be consistent with the wishes of UEFA in terms of European qualification. The FFF wants a harmonized treatment of the highest female and male level. “
