Roberto Barmasse, medical director in charge of the Complex Structure of Thoracic Surgery, is the new regional councilor for health, health and social policies in the Executive headed by President Lavévaz.
Inevitable, given the period, to start with the first actions to be taken to counter the so-called “second wave” of infections from Covid-19.
The new Councilor explained: “Immediately, as I have said several times, it is necessary try to free the regional hospital as far as possible, of course this will depend on the numbers, on Covid patients, at least on those who do not require special therapies and I am referring to intensive care. It is very important for patients suffering from Covid or who only have a positive swab but other pathologies, to be able to relocate them to other existing health facilities in order to to be able to relieve our only garrison from a block of ordinary activity”.
