Coronavirus, seven positives in a facility for migrants – Chronicle

Massa, 18 August 2020 – Covid-19, a new cluster, that is a group of linked cases, has been identified in Pulp. The news is still fragmentary, but the news of the positivity to the coronavirus of seven guests in a structure for migrants in Massa.

At the moment, the name of the facility has not been provided nor the nationality of the people involved is known (they would be Nigerians). However, it is a structure in the Massa area managed by the Prefecture.

The health authority explains that “the swabs in the Massese reception facility were carried out for a check requested by the company’s prevention department and that all migrants were in fact asymptomatic”.

The cluster was discovered after one of the guests was taken to hospital for reasons not related to Covid. Among other tests, he was also swab. After the positive result, the structure was quarantined and the other migrants were also tested: seven of them tested positive.
