Monterrey, NL.- The State Secretary of Health, Manuel de la O Cavazos, confirmed today a second case of coronavirus or Covid-19, a 46-year-old man who traveled to Denver, Colorado between March 3 and 6, who has been hospitalized since day 10 because he has an added problem of obesity.
The official stated that at the moment the number of people who had contact with the patient is not known, since they are in the realization of the epidemiological study, in order to proceed with the sanitary control measures.
This case joins that of another patient, a businessman from San Pedro Garza García who was confirmed two days ago Covid-19 positive, after going to a study in a private hospital and then confirmed with a test in the laboratory of the State Secretary of Health. The person affected had a history of travel to London, Munich and Madrid.
For his part, the Governor of Nuevo León, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón, announced that at the moment no massive events will be canceled in the entity, because the experts consider it to be, since the entity is in phase one, where only two imported cases have been registered. He pointed out that he will not risk anyone, and in due course the correct decisions will be made.
