Coronavirus, record of infections in Germany and Sweden. France: 60 thousand infections, but some of the past days. USA: 120 thousand cases

Infections continue to grow relentlessly in Germany and in United States. In both countries, in the last 24 hours, the highest number of daily cases has been recorded since the start of the pandemic. The Robert Koch Institute of Berlin communicated that I am 21.506 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, an increase compared to the past few days. The contagion curve continues to rise, even if daily growth in the European State is slowing down: a week ago there were in fact 18,681 new infections. Since the beginning of the pandemic, coronavirus cases have thus risen to 619,089, the victims are 11,096, with the weekly contagion factor around 0.93. New record also in Sweden with 4,697 infections confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Also there France records a boom in infections: 60.486, although, it does know Public health, these are not “consolidated” data due to the computer bug which, a few days ago, prevented the influx of 300 thousand results to the Health Center. This data is now released in packets and thus creates dramatic jumps in the daily count. The deaths were 398 in hospitals, but we must add the 430 deaths recorded in the last 4 days in rest homes and institutions for the disabled, for a total of 828.

And as they finish counting the last ballots to determine who won the last Presidential elections, the United States they continue to beat every record of daily infections. In the last 24 hours, the unprecedented figure of over 120 thousand new positives, according to the data of Johns Hopkins University.

In Great Britain, the government of Boris Johnson, with the country in lockdown up, now focuses on the goal of carpet pads, after having already brought them to the Kingdom to a capacity of about 500 thousand and an actual number of over 300 thousand per day (absolute European record), without however being able to solve all the gaps reported in the current national testing and tracing system.

Belgium – The average number of coronavirus infections in Belgium rose to 13,213 per day between 27 October and 2 November. This was announced today by the Sciensano Institute of Public Health in its provisional assessment. This represents a 16% decrease from the previous seven day period. The number of hospital admissions is also increasing but slowing and stands at 663 per day on average, up 7% (compared to a 15% increase on Thursday).

Croatia – New daily record in Croatia with 2,890 contagions from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, but at the same time the total number of patients with active infection is slightly decreasing, to date 15,567, about one thousand fewer than the records recorded last week. This was announced by the Civil Protection Crisis Unit. Another 34 people have died since yesterday, bringing the total number of victims to 717. Patients in hospital treatment are growing, to date 1,307 and those in intensive care, up to 135, twelve more than yesterday.

Bulgaria – The rapid spread of Covid-19 infection in Bulgaria continues. In the last 24 hours in the Balkan country, which has about 7 million inhabitants, they registered 3,754 contagions out of 11,131 diagnostic tests. The largest number of infected people is always registered in the capital Sofia (about two million inhabitants): 1,264. The total number of infections since the beginning of the epidemic is 68,345 to date. They have been reported since yesterday 52 deaths and the total number of victims rises to 1,518.

Poland – Poland recorded 27,100 new coronavirus cases and a record of 445 daily deaths. The total toll in the country has risen to 494,000 infections and 7,287 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. Most of the cases occurred in southern Poland and the province of Warsaw.

Russia – Historical record of infections also in Russia. In the last 24 hours, 20,582 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded: the highest number in a single day since the beginning of the epidemic. There were 378 deaths on the last day. According to data published by the coronavirus operations center, in total in Russia there are 1,733,440 infections and 29,887 people have died from Covid. They will thus be introduced new restrictive measures to deal with the “alarming” surge in coronavirus cases, the Kremlin spokesman anticipated, Dmitry Peskov. However, it will not be a national lockdown as each region will make the appropriate decisions, he added.
