Coronavirus: Post office workers in A Coruña denounce breach of security measures | Radio Coruña

The Post office workers in A Coruña denounce that the public company is failing to comply with health security measures regarding the separation of workers in offices. They have raised their complaint to the Labor Inspection.

Arteixo office closed

Today the Arteixo office remains closed for disinfection after a worker reported that he had a fever and vomiting. He is a 60-year-old worker as explained by the CGT to Radio Coruña Cadena SER.

This union denounces that Correos does not comply with security regulations and remember that workers have daily contact with dozens of people. Xan Xove, spokesman for CGT in Correos, recalls that so far it has been done: – “Correos was able to organize the work perfectly, those who entered at seven left at nine and those who entered at nine had left at eleven, in fact we have been doing it since March. It’s absurd for the company to say that you can’t, it’s possible, if every society did as it did, it could even go to the movies. “

For a month Correos has not communicated to the unions how many workers have been infected.
